This week, we had a truly special moment as Coach Nay returned to her 3rd grade teacher’s classroom as a Mystery Reader! She brought the story Spookley the Square Pumpkin to life, yet again, sharing a personal connection that made the read aloud extra memorable.
Two years ago, Coach Nay debuted in musical theatre portraying Spookley as a puppet for Valley Youth Theatre, and she returned to the stage in the same role for a second consecutive year. Watching her share this story with younger classmates as a high school senior was an inspiring full-circle moment.
The students were captivated by the story and delighted in asking thoughtful questions. After the read aloud, they eagerly took photos with Coach Nay, making it a fun and interactive experience for everyone. Moments like these remind us of the power of reading, and the impact that performing arts can make with its' ability to connect generations, inspire confidence, and create lasting memories.
We are so proud of Coach Nay and all our students for continuing to shine, both on stage and in the classroom!
