Building Bridges: Partnering with ASU Prep K-8 Pilgrim Rest Campus

Updated: Dec 1, 2024

In a dynamic collaboration with the City of Phoenix Achieves Youth and Education Office's Partner with a Principal Program, we recently had the honor of visiting ASU Prep K-8 Pilgrim Rest Campus. This program unites Arizona business and community leaders with local school principals to deepen understanding of the critical role education plays in shaping our future.

Led by Principal Marissa Schneckloth, ASU Prep's commitment to innovation, inclusivity, and academic excellence was evident from the moment we stepped on campus. The visit provided an immersive experience of the daily rewards and challenges faced by educators and students alike. Guided by the program's objective to foster productive dialogue, we explored avenues for collaboration, exchanging ideas on how community partnerships can strengthen student engagement and enhance educational offerings.

Our discussions uncovered an exciting opportunity to enrich ASU Prep’s Fun Friday Sessions. Together, we aim to bring performing arts and creative expression programming to the K-8 students, offering them a unique outlet for exploration and skill development. From dance and music to hands-on arts, these sessions will introduce students to new forms of self-expression and team-building activities.

We are grateful for the warm welcome from ASU Prep and look forward to shaping a lasting partnership that inspires creativity and provides a foundation for student growth. As we look to the future, we are excited about the possibilities of expanding this relationship, empowering young minds, and reinforcing the critical bond between community and education.
